A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
Your base is under attack!
The base has two weapons, a Primary weapon capable of stopping the attack, and a Secondary pulse cannon with a (very) limited damage capability.
As luck would have it, someone forgot to charge the Primary after fitting the new charge collectors. So you have to make do with the Secondary weapon till the Primary comes online. Fortunately, this should just just take a couple of minutes.
Fire pulses of energy (or whatever mysterious substance weapons in top secret bases are supposed to fire) to wipe out waves of incoming enemies, all from the comfort of your chair while staring at a radar screen that does not even sound right.
In addition to being a simple shooter game made for LÖVE Jam 2018, this also happens to be my first game made using the LÖVE engine.
- Mouse for aiming and firing
- Keyboard for navigating the menu
- The font used is Effects Eighty by Peter Hull
- The sounds used in the game were created using Audacity
- The game uses the Lua module classic created by rxi
Extract the contents of the .love file using your favourite archive extractor.
The game is distributed as a .love file which can be read by the LÖVE engine, so you will need to install LÖVE (https://love2d.org) or build it from the source code. LÖVE is also available in the package managers of most Linux distributions. Please use the latest version of the LÖVE engine from the website to avoid any compatibility problems.
